The Bright Ideas Award celebrates exceptional business teaching and research.

Each year, the New Jersey Policy Research Organization (NJPRO) and the Stillman School of Business at Seton Hall University, collaborate to produce the annual Publications of New Jersey Business Faculty. The volumes include abstracts and citations from faculty members from business schools within colleges and universities around the state. This is a compilation of scholarly research on business-related issues that are relevant and educational to New Jersey firms. It celebrates the business intellectual capital at colleges of business within the state.

From these articles, a distinguished panel of Deans and business people, chose certain articles as “Bright Ideas Research Awards” recognizing outstanding research within the volume. In addition “Teaching Notes Awards” have been presented to faculty members providing valuable ideas to the classroom.

This collaboration is a natural fit for both organizations. The NJPRO Foundation educates decision makers and the business community about important policy issues of the day and their possible impact on the business world. The Stillman School of Business at Seton Hall University seeks to improve the learning environment of students and faculty and to enhance the effectiveness of business organizations. Together, they have compiled the research works of New Jersey business faculty published since 2004. Through this publication, the Foundation and the Stillman School aim to do just that, bring the business and academic communities together.

The publications are made available below in the hope that faculty will be able to share with the business community and government leaders research done in the academic world that impacts the business community.
